Roan & Unaka Mountains Spruce-fir Restoration and Habitat Improvement Project
The proposed action is to remove American beech infected or susceptible to Beech Blight and promote red spruce and Fraser fir. Activities include underplanting of spruce and fir, rehab disturbed areas and creating/expanding canopy gaps.
