Cagle Recreation Area

Cagle Recreation Area, located on the shores of Lake Conroe, offers great fishing and water sports just 45 minutes north of Houston.

This recreation area offers a developed boat ramp, hiking trails and two camping loops with 47 full-service RV sites nestled among the pines of the Sam Houston National Forest.

Reservations for all sites must be made at least 48 hours in advance online at www.recreation.gov or by calling 877-444-6777.

All sites are walk-up capable but may only be occupied on a day-to-day basis until the next reservation arrives for that particular site.

General Information

All 47 sites offer full service which includes water, electricity, sewer hookups, tent pad, lantern post and fire ring.

Overnight Use:
Single Site with electric, water and sewer hook-ups: $30 per night

Camping per site (all utilities) - $30.00 per night
(Campsite is $20 per night and $10 for electric, water and sewer.)

With Senior or Access Pass - $20
(Campsite is $10 per night and $10 for electric, water and sewer.)

Day-Use Fee - $5.00 per day

North of Houston, Texas, near New Waverly use Interstate Highway 45 northbound exit #102 or #103 southbound at state highway FM-1375. Go West approx. 5 miles. Turn left at large Cagle Recreation Area sign.
