Cottonwood Lake: (940) 627-5475

Cottonwood Lake is a 40-acre flood prevention reservoir in the Lyndon B. Johnson National Forest that was constructed by the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS). Fishing and duck hunting opportunities abound.

General Information

Directions: From Decatur, follow FM 730 north 10 miles to CR 2461, turn left and at the fork; turn right on CR 2560, proceed 3 miles and turn left on FS Road 900. Cottonwood Lake is on the right at ½ mile.

Open to the public 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
