The project area is approximately 6,774 Forest Service owned acres, located between the communities of Duke and Blooming Rose, MO and the Big Piney River and Missouri State Route K. The project would occur solely on federal lands of the Houston/Rolla/Cedar Creek Ranger district in Pulaski and Phelps Counties, Missouri. The legal description is Township 34 N., Range 9 W., Sections 18, 19, 30, & 31, Township 34 N., Range 10 W., Sections 9-17, 20-29, and 32-36; Fifth Principal Meridian.
