The positions will sit within a number of program areas all across the Superior NF, including recreation, wilderness, administrative operations, and education/interpretation. We always look forward to bringing these interns on-board, not only for the fresh energy they bring to our work but also because they contribute to making our summer efforts successful. We truly couldn’t do it without them!
Besides being great learning and job force skills opportunities for these young adults, there are some other great benefits for positions including a weekly stipend, housing provided, a travel allowance to help them get here, uniforms, eligibility for an AmeriCorps Education Award, and of course, working with the wonderful staff of the Superior NF in one of America’s most beautiful locations!”–Emily Munter-Partnership Coordinator for the Superior NF
