Greenwood Fire Salvage Project
The Kawishiwi Ranger District proposes to salvage harvest up to 250 acres of moderately to severely damaged trees within the Greenwood Fire perimeter, which burned around 26,797 acres on the Superior National Forest during the summer of 2021.

The salvage units are located around 15 miles south of Ely, MN. They are along Lake County 2, around two miles west and southwest of the intersection of MN State Highway 1 and Forest Road 933 spur.
