Norway Point
Norway Point is located on the St. Louis River and has a picnic area and boat launch. Fish found in the river include northern pike, walleye, smallmouth bass and pan fish.
Off Norway Point, the river is navigable by small boat and motor or canoe. Further up and down the river you will run into boulders and shallow water and a canoe is the recommended mode of travel.

Day use only; no overnight camping allowed
When visiting, please remember
- No vehicles may park on the grass or where they impede traffic.
- Please use facilities provided.
- Pack out all waste, do not burn paper or other garbage.
- Water from lakes must be treated, boiled, or filtered before use.
No Fees are required for this site.
This section of the St. Louis River is not recommended for pets due to the whitewater.

Directions
Norway Point is located about 7 miles south of Hoyt Lakes, MN.
- Take County Highway 110 east of Hoyt Lakes for 1.5 miles.
- Turn right (south) on Forest Road 130/Mooseline Road for 7 miles. This is a one-lane gravel road.
- Turn right on Forest Road 780 for 0.7 mile to the St. Louis River. Turn left onto Salo Lake Road/ Twp 6210. The picnic area and boat landing entrance is about 1 mile down this road.
