- Abstract:
- In the summer of 1981, 63 stands of larch (European, Japanese, hybrid, and tamarack) were examined for symptoms of Mycosphaerella laricina (larch needle cast) in Iowa, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Stand location, tree species, seed source, year planted, stand size, stand aspect, percent slope, and presence or absence of needle cast were recorded for each stand. Additional measurements included the presence of other diseases and insects. Stands surveyed in this study include larch stand from the Coulee Experimental Forest (Bangor, WI).
