Abstract:

This data publication contains tabular beetle count data from a study examining the flight period of Dendroctonus ponderosae (commonly referred to as the mountain pine beetle) in a suburban environment in Cheyenne, WY. Lindgren funnel traps with an attractant were used to monitor Dendroctonus ponderosae flight weekly during the summer of 2011 (June through October) at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, High Plains Grasslands Research Station in stands of planted ponderosa pine.
