The Nez Perce (Nimíipuu or Nee-Me-Poo) National Historic Trail stretches from Wallowa Lake, Oregon, to the Bear Paw Battlefield near Chinook, Montana. It passes through Traditional Nez Perce Tribe Homelands, Nez Perce Indian Reservation, Colville Indian Reservation, Umatilla Indian Reservation, numerous National Forests, Yellowstone National Park, and lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management.
