Meadow Day Use Area

Located just over five miles west of Bend, this popular day use area sits along the the Deschutes River. This site offers hiking access to the Deschutes River Trail and several areas for picnicking next to the river. There are toilets and picnic tables at this site.

Dogs must be on leash at all trailheads throughout the year and on the Deschutes River Trail from May 15-September 15.

WARNING! Although the river looks placid at this location, the stretch of the Deschutes River between Meadow Camp and Bend is some of the most challenging water on the river. The canyon narrows and rises, preventing any chance for a portgage, and fills with technical Class IV and V rapids.

THIS SECTION OF THE RIVER SHOULD ONLY BE ATTEMPTED BY EXPERTS.
