Todd Lake Campground

This campground offers 3 walk-in sites on the west side of Todd Lake overlooking the water and featuring spectacular views of Broken Top. The sites are about a 10-minute hike from the Todd Lake Day Use Area parking lot. Camping is allowed only in designated campsites.

Activities at this site include fishing, picnicking, and horse/hiker access to the Three Sisters Wilderness.

Recreation Fee Site: Parking at this site requires a recreation pass. Passes are available at this site, but can be purchased from Forest Service offices or vendors. Please check here for more information about recreation passes and where they can be purchased.

Wilderness Permits required for the Three Sisters Wilderness. Central Cascades Wilderness Permit required for both day and overnight visitors for use of the nearby Todd Lake Trail between Friday of Memorial Day weekend and the last Friday of September. Reserve at Recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777.

  • Recreators who hike the nearby Todd Lake Trail will enter the Wilderness and are required to acquire a Central Cascades Wilderness Permit in advance for both day use and for overnight use between Friday of Memorial Day weekend and the last Friday of September. Reserve at Recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777.
  • Free, unlimited Wilderness self-issue permit required on the Todd Lake Trail the last Saturday of September until October 31 (available at trailhead).

Do not remove frogs or tadpoles from Todd Lake.  Todd Lake is home for the Western Toad and Cascade Frog.  Both of these species are threatened by loss of wetlands, habitat degredation, and environmental changes.  They are protected by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife and collecting of these species is illegal and punishable with a fine of $1250.00 (OAR 6330440130).

Directions

From Bend, OR: Travel 24.0 miles west on Cascade Lakes Highway (46), then 0.5 miles north on Forest Road 4600 370 to Todd Lake Trailhead. It is a 1/4 mile hike to the lake.
