Plants - Plant lovers have much to admire, especially during spring wildflower season. In March, wildflowers in the forest include golden yarrow, baby blue eyes, tree poppy, and popcorn flower. In April, visitors can see sweet alyssum, silverleaf lotus, hollyleaf redberry, blue-eyed grass, white-flowered phacelia and white nightshade. In May, flowers in bloom include mountain violet, silvermat lotus, red valerium, purple nightshade, dusty maiden buds, tower mustard and many others.

Scenery  - There are many scenic vistas and overlooks in Angeles National Forest - San Gabriel Mountains National Monument that you can drive or hike to.  Beautiful scenery including mountains, valleys and forests abound along the Angeles Crest Highway, from atop Mt. Wilson and other areas. The views are spectacular!

Wildlife  - A diverse variety of animal life exists in Angeles National Forest - San Gabriel Mountains National Monument. Lucky visitors might see birds and squirrels along a nature trail. Along the way, they can see how the vegetation changes with elevation and can watch for wildlife (though some are nocturnal) such as bobcat, mountain lion, bear, and perhaps get a glimpse of impressive Nelson bighorn sheep.
