Forest Closures and Advisories

The National Forests in Florida have both permanent and temporary closures in place.

Permanent closures are put in place through Forest Supervisor's Orders.

Temporary closures and alerts on the Apalachicola, Ocala and Osceola National Forests and the Florida National Scenic Trail can happen quickly because of fire, inclement weather or other dangerous conditions. Information is often updated quickly on Facebook and Twitter.

The National Forests in Florida Public Affairs Office in Tallahassee serves as the primary point of contact for all alerts, notices and news releases at (850) 523-8500.
