    The Luzerne Boardwalk located North of the Eastern terminus of Forest Road 3023, in the N ½ of Section 36, Township 26 North, Range 2 East, Michigan Principal Meridian, is closed to equestrian traffic due to structural deficiencies caused by high moisture content of the area.

  • Hemlock Wooly Adelgid Treatment Notice

    THE USDA Forest Service and a coalition of partners to include the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, the Mason-Lake Conservation District and the Ottawa Conservation District, are beginning treatment on Hemlock trees found to be infested with Hemlock Wooly Adelgid in the Nordhouse Dunes A

  • 'Do Not Eat' Advisory for Deer

    The Michigan departments of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) and Natural Resources (DNR) today issued a "Do Not Eat" advisory for deer taken within approximately five miles of Clark’s Marsh in Oscoda Township.

  • 'Do Not Eat' Advisory for Fish

    The Michigan Department of Community Health (MDCH) has issued a "DO NOT EAT" advisory for all fish taken from Clarks Marsh, south of the former Wurtsmith Air Force Base, in Iosco County.  The MDCH also recommends that people do not eat “resident” fish taken from the lower Au Sable River
