How Do I  Apply?

Each season, the Winema Hotshot Crew seeks quality employees to fill crew positions. Crew members are hired on a Not to Exceed (NTE) 1039 hours in a one year basis, usually as a GS-4 depending upon experience level and education. Due to the high volume of applicants, most successful candidates have more than one season of wildland fire experience. However, everyone who considers themselves well suited for a position is encouraged to apply. The crew season runs from April until October, and applicants who cannot commit to this entire period are rarely considered for employment.
