Fremont National Recreation Trail

The Fremont National Recreation Trail, also known as the Southern Oregon Intertie Trail, traverses most of the length of the Fremont National Forest from north to south.

Pacific Crest Trail

Pacific Crest Trail follows the western edge of the Fremont-Winema National Forest the full length of the forest through Mt Thielsen Wilderness, Crater Lake National Park, and Sky Lakes Wilderness.

The Oregon Outback International Dark Sky Sanctuary encompasses unincorporated communities of Adel, Plush, and Summer Lake, the Hart Mountain National Antelope Refuge, a portion of the Fremont-Winema National Forest, and nearly 1.7 million acres of land managed by the U.S. Bureau of Land Management, the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, nearly 80,000 acres of state-owned rangeland, and the Oregon Outback Scenic Byway.
