This page contains information on safety, area and location closures, and forest orders issued for the Fremont-Winema National Forest. 

Forest Orders are legal prohibitions, which are issued by a National Forest Officer. They are issued when the Forest Officer considers them necessary for the protection or administration of the National Forest or for promotion of public health, safety, or welfare. Each order includes a specific type of occupancy or use, period of time, and location.

The following regulation describes general prohibitions, closures and regulations for acts or omissions within the National Forest System or on a National Forest System road or trail: 36 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Section 251

    Pursuant to 16 USC § 551 and 36 CFR § 261.50 (a) and (b), the following acts are prohibited upon all lands, roads, and trails administered by the Fremont-Winema National Forest as described in this order.
