Flathead National Forest invites you to join its September Trails Initiative. Help make a few trails close to home a little better—and meet some of the partners and pros who work year round to keep the magic of trails alive in the Flathead Valley.

A trail worker digs trail tread with a pulaski.Volunteer work parties will be held on the last four Fridays and Saturdays in September, 2018 on trails within about an hour of Kalispell. Each weekend is hosted by one of our several non-profit partners in the Flathead Valley that work hard to make and keep our trails great.

Few activities on National Forests are more rewarding than helping to maintain trails: get outside, get a workout, feel the joy of working alongside some new friends, and, perhaps most importantly, immediately see how your efforts improve trails that so many enjoy.

Sign Up for a Day (or Two!) on the TrailsA trail worker digs trail tread with a pulaski.
