  Creeks and rivers play an important ecological and social role and provide habitat for salmon & other wildlife. The Gifford Pinchot National Forest aquatics team, and partners such as the Cowlitz Indian Tribe, are working to reverse past damage to key watersheds within the Forest and prepare these areas for projected changes in climate.
