Tours
All commercial tour operators who deliver customers to Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument sites must pay a fee. A commercial multi-passenger vehicle is one in which the passengers pay to be transported to a Recreation Pass Fee site.
Information is collected from the bus tour operator at the time of their visit, and a bill is issued to the tour company afterward.
The fee structure is as follows:
Commercial Vehicle | Passenger Capacity | Rate per Entry |
Passenger Sedan | 1-6 | $25 |
Passenger Van | 7-15 | $75 |
Passenger Minibus | 16-25 | $100 |
Passenger Motor Coach | 26+ | $200 |
The categories above are based on the passenger seating capacity of the vehicle and NOT the actual number of passengers on board. The driver's seat is not included in the overall capacity.
*Fees may be waived for school groups from accredited K-12 educational institutions visiting Mount St. Helens as part of a school assignment and being transported by a commercial carrier.
