Nez Perce National Forest Travel Management
Also known as the Designated Routes and Areas for Motor Vehicle Use (DRAMVU), the purpose of this planning effort is to meet the intent of the Travel Management Rule, Executive Orders and determine which roads, trails and areas should be designated for motor vehicle use by type of vehicle and season of use. The Forest distributed the DRAMVU Draft EIS (DEIS)in December 2008 and Supplemental Draft EIS (SDEIS) in October 2010. The Forest has completed consultation with federal agencies and tribes. The Forest held public open house meetings in local communities in June and July 2015 to re-engage the public on this project. The Final EIS and Draft ROD were distributed in February 2016. The pre-decisional administrative review period ended in June 2016 (36 CFR 218).
