Circle Park Trailhead

Circle Park Trailhead provides access to Sherd Lake Loop #046 which enters Cloud Peak Wilderness and leads to South Fork Ponds. There are trail junctions that make side trips to nearby lakes, and you can make a loop by using South Fork Ponds #095.

This trailhead is suitable for horse trailers. Circle Park Campground is nearby for overnight camping.

Important: Anyone entering the Cloud Peak Wilderness is required to complete and submit a registration form.

No Camping at Trailhead, Pack It In, Pack It Out, Wilderness Regulations apply within Cloud Peak Wilderness.

Directions

From Buffalo, WY, take Highway 16 west for about 13.4 miles to Forest System Road (FSR) 20. Turn right at the sign and go another 2.1 miles.
