Shell Creek Campground

Shell Creek Campground is located off U.S. Highway 14, the Bighorn Scenic Byway. The campground is situated along Shell Creek and is close to the Adelaide Trailhead, which offers access to the Cloud Peak Wilderness. Shell Canyon and the Shell Falls Interpretive Site are less than five miles away.

General Information

Memorial Day - Labor Day, weather dependent

14 day stay limit

Overnight Use:
Single Site: $20/night.
Interagency Senior/Access Recreation Passes provide a 50% discount to Single Campsites ONLY.
*The discount applies only to the fee for the campsite physically occupied by the pass holder, not to any additional fee or campsite(s) occupied by members of the pass holder's party.*

Limit 8 people per site.       
Two non-towed vehicles allowed per site. The first vehicle is included in the basic fee; the second vehicle will be charged an extra fee at the campground.

Dogs must be on a leash.

From Shell, WY, travel east on Hwy 14 for about 17 miles. Then continue for 1.2 miles south on Forest System Road (FSR) 17.
