Green Rock Trailhead
Non-motorized trailhead, day-use fee site used for winter parking and summer hiking access. Access to the Libby Creek Trail.
Snowmobile parking only in designated areas alongside Highway 130. Do not park on the open roadway or in the turn around. No trailers in the Green Rock parking lot. The area does access the U and O snowmobile trails. Do not ride snowmobiles in or on ski areas and trails. For more information, please review the Wyoming Snowmobile Maps.
Restroom, trash, picnic tables, signage and law enforcement patrol services provided. Anyone who uses the facilities/services must pay the day-use fee or display an annual day-use pass. Green Rock Picnic Area is located in this area as well.
For winter cross-country skiing, this trailhead accesses the Libby Creek Trail (3.8 mi/6 k) and the upper end of the Barber Lake Trail (3 mi/4.9 k). The Libby Creek Trail follows the ridgeline of Libby Creek Canyon on its northern leg and Libby Creek on its southern leg. Most of the trail is gradual up or down, but there are a few steeper sections. The Barber Lake Trail is mostly downhill when skied from west to east. Total distance from the Green Rock Trailhead to the Corner Mountain Trailhead is 4.6 mi/7.4 k.
