Vaughan Lake Campground

This small scenic campground is located between Yampa and Meeker, CO on County Road 8. The campground hosts a total of 6 campsites and is fairly open with Aspen trees and an excellent view of Vaughan Lake.  Each campsite has a fire grate, tent pad and a picnic table. There is no potable water, so campers will want to come prepared with enough water. Only non-motorized boats are allowed on the lake.

*Please note that Vaughan Lake is not stocked with fish and there are no confirmed fishing reports to indicate any fishing success in the last several years. Fishermen are recommended to go to Chapman Reservoir or Sheriff Reservoir for a better fishing experience.

This campground can accommodate trailers up to 18 feet and is also popular among hunters during big game season. Dogs must remain on a leash at all times in the campsite. Take a scenic drive on the Flat Tops Trail Scenic Byway where you will find signage for access to area trailheads for hiking.
