Rainbow Trail Reroute
A portion of the Rainbow Trail was damaged by flooding & erosion caused by post-Hayden Pass Fire conditions. The FS proposes to reroute 2.5 miles of trail between Rattlesnake & Battle Mountain within the Pole Gulch drainage.

This portion of the Rainbow Trail is east of Salida, CO on NFS Lands. The east end of the trail will connect to the existing Rainbow Trail in the South Prong of Hayden Creek, then to Freemont CR 40.
