Buckskin Gulch Auto Tour
Buckskin Gulch Auto Tour begins in Alma, 5 1/2 miles north of Fairplay. Of this 5-mile route, the first 4 miles are suitable for most passenger cars; the last mile is steep, rocky, and rough.

This road is seasonally closed just past the Sweet Home Mine during the winter months. The county doesn't plow the road past the Paris Mill.
There is a $5 day use fee for use past the Sweet Home Mine.
Getting There
Directions
At the intersection of US Highway 285 and Colorado Highway 9, travel north on highway 9 for just over five miles to the town of Alma. Turn west on County Road 8, which is across from the post office. Your tour begins just down the road at the cemetery.
