Devil's Head Picnic Area

The Devil's Head Picnic Area has five (5) picnic units. It is located in the Rampart Range Recreation Area.

General Information

Winter closure information: Rampart Range road is closed annually by December 1 and remains closed throughout the winter. The road reopens when conditions are favorable for summer recreation. A target date is April 1, but weather conditions may delay opening until late-May.

The following restrictions apply to this picnic site:

  • Overnight use prohibited.
  • Fires only in established fire rings.
  • Pack it in; pack it out.

Interagency Senior Passes and Interagency Access Passes  provide for a 50% discount at concessionaire operated sites.

$11 day use fee per vehicle.

Dogs must be on a leash at all times.

Directions

To reach this area, take U.S. Highway 85 (Evans) south to Sedalia. Turn west on Highway 67 for 10 miles to the junction with Rampart Range Road (NFSR 300). Devil's Head Picnic Area is located approximately 10 miles south on Rampart Range Road.
