Devil's Playground Trailhead #753

The first 1/2 mile of the Devil's Playground Trail is shared with the Crags Trail. At the Y, bear right and cross the bridge over the creek. The trail follows an old road to just below timberline.  Above timberline the trail intersects the Pikes Peak Highway. Please follow the rock cairns above timberline to protect the fragile tundra. There are beautiful views in the distance of mountain ranges to the north, south and west of Pikes Peak.

Difficulty: Hard

Current Conditions
Lightning is common in the summer, so start the hike early. Be prepared for changing weather conditions. The temperature at the summit is usually considerably cooler than at the trailhead.
