Manitou Lake Picnic Area

Manitou Lake is a 5-acre reservoir where the entire family can enjoy fishing and hiking Trail #670 around the lake. Due to easy area access and popularity, fishing occurs year-round in the reservoir. All sites have tables, fire grates and trash collection. Swimming, wading and all body contact with the water in the reservoir is prohibited.

An asphalt bike trail #699, approximately 4.2 miles long, connects all the campgrounds and picnic areas. There are two group campgrounds: Pike Community and Red Rocks.

Reservations

Reservations can be made for the Manitou Pavilion. To reserve the pavilion for day use, visit recreation.gov. In addition to the $75 fee to reserve the pavilion, there will be $11 per vehicle charged upon arrival.

Motorboats and swimming are prohibited.

An $11 per vehicle day use fee is charged. An annual pass is available for Manitou Lake Picnic Area, Rampart Reservoir Recreation Area and Eleven Mile Canyon. 

To reserve the pavilion for day use, visit recreation.gov. In addition to the $75 fee to reserve the pavilion, there will be $11 per vehicle charged upon arrival. For larger groups that might utilize a bus, the vehicle fee is $50. The facility is limited to 50 occupants. No discount is accepted for use of this facility.

Dogs must be on a leash at all times.

Directions

From Colorado Springs, travel on U.S. Highway 24 approximately 18 miles to Woodland Park. Take Highway 67 north approximately 7 miles. Manitou Lake is on the right (east) side of the highway, 1 mile north of Colorado Campground.
