Nichols Reservoir

The trail to Nichols Reservoir begins at the Dikeside Boatramp parking lot. It is a 0.8 mile hike down to Nichols Reservoir and back up. Swimming, wading, and all body contact with the water in the reservoir is prohibited. All watercraft on Nichols Reservoir is prohibited.

There is a $10.00 per vehicle day use fee to access Rampart Reservoir Recreation Area.

Directions

From Colorado Springs, Colorado, travel west on Hwy 24 for about 18 miles to Woodland Park. Turn north on Baldwin (which turns into Rampart Range Road). Go about 2 miles to Loy Creek Road turn right and then to FDR 300 turn right (Rampart Range Road). Follow signs. Rampart Reservoir entrance is about 4 miles further on the left side of the road.
