Scraggy View Picnic Area

On the South Platte River at an elevation of 6,296 feet, Scraggy View Picnic Area is approximately 1 1/2 hours' drive southwest of Denver on Jefferson County Route 126. There are five picnic sites.

No campfires; pedestal grills available.

Open year-round

Access during the winter may be limited due to snow.

Day use only, no overnight camping.

The Interagency Senior Pass and the Interagency Access Pass qualifies for a 50% discount with proper ID for the card holder’s vehicle only.

$11 fee for day use. Fees are payable by check or money order. A self-service fee tube is available for on-site payment. 

Dogs must be on a leash at all times.
