Sugar Creek Upper Trailhead

The Noddles Trail (#677) is one of the many OHV (Off Highway Vehicle) trails in the Rampart Range Recreation Area. These trails are designated for vehicles 50" or less in width.

General Information

Winter closure: Rampart Range Road is closed by December 1 and remains closed throughout the winter. Rampart Range Road opens when conditions are favorable for summer recreation. A target date is April 1, but weather conditions may delay until late May. Contact the South Platte Ranger District at 303-275-5610 for more information.

All off road vehicles must be registered with Colorado State Parks. Call 303.791.7275 for more information.
The following restrictions apply to the Rampart Range Motorized Recreation Area:
  • An OHV (Off Highway Vehicle) registration or current license plate is required to ride on the trails. Contact Colorado State Parks at 303-866-3437 for OHV registration information.
  • A current license plate and valid driver’s license are required to ride on the roads.
  • Only vehicles 50” or less in width can be on trails.
  • All vehicles must have a U.S. Forest Service approved SPARK ARRESTOR.
  • Ride on designated trails.

Directions

From Denver, travel Hwy 85/Santa Fe South for 10 miles to Sedalia. Turn west on Hwy 67 for 14 miles to Sprucewood. Stay straight on Hwy 67 south for 2.5 miles.
