Stone Cellar Campground
The campground offers 6 campsites located in the wide-open fields of Saguache Park, offering spectacular views of the La Garita Mountains. There is one restroom and each campsite has a fire ring and a sun shade. Saguache Creek runs next to the campsites and offers good fishing opportunities.
General Information
This campground is first come/first serve.
CAUTION - This area is very remote, it is 58 miles from Saguache, 36 miles of dirt road. Please be prepared. Hiking in the La Garita Wilderness, mountain biking and four-wheeling on area roads are all local activities.
Fires in designated fire rings only. Make sure your fire is "Dead Out" and cold to the touch before departing the site. Pack In/Pack Out all trash. This is bear country. Practice good bear proof food storage in camp. Horses and livestock are not allowed in the campground or neighboring meadows.

Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am.
Visit the USGS store for passes. Interagency Recreation Passes are honored for day use.

$10 per vehicle per day
Overnight Use:
Single and Double Site: $10 per night
Interagency Senior/Access Recreation Passes provide a 50% discount to single campsites ONLY.
*The discount applies only to the fee for the campsite physically occupied by the pass holder, not to any additional fee or campsite(s) occupied by members of the pass holder's party.
Dogs must be on leash not longer than six feet in length.
The Stone Cellar Cabin is nearby. $50.00 per night. Reservations can be made through www.recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777.

Travel Considerations
Roads may become impassable due to mud or snow during certain times of the year. Motorized access may be limited due to snow and annual seasonal road closures from March 15th to May 15th.

Potable water may be available at the neighboring Stone Cellar Guard Station Cabin, but campers must access the pump on foot and not interfere with paying cabin guests at the site.

Horse/Pack animals are not allowed at this site.
Horses and Pack animals cannot be picketed in the meadows next to the campground.
