Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50 (a) (b) the following acts are prohibited on National Forest lands in Sections 3, 4, 9, and 10 in Township 7S and Range 80W. This prohibition is in addition to those enumerated in subpart A, Part 261, title 36CFR, become effective immediately, and will remain in effect until rescinded or revoked.
36 CFR 261.50 - Special Orders:
Entering or occupying, National Forest System lands in Section 3, 4, 9, and 10 in Township 7S, Range 80'W which is closed for the protection of public health and safety (36 CFR261.50) as described on the attached map (Human Entry Prohibition Order Map)
The reason for the closure is to provide for public safety by preventing contact with known asbestos in the no11hern po11ion of the cantonment area and the west side of Highway 24 near Pando in the National Historic Camp Hale site.
Pursuant to 36 CFR.261. 50 the following acts are exempt from this restriction:
- Persons with a permit or Federal contract specifically authorizing the otherwise prohibited act or omission
- Any Federal, State, or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or fire fighting force in the performance of an official duty.

Penalty: Violations of these prohibitions is punishable by a fine of not more that $5,000 for an individual or $10,000 for an organization, or imprisonment for not more than 6 months or both. (16 USC 551 36CFR 261.50)
