Lynx Lake - North Shore Picnic Site
At 55-acres, Lynx Lake is the largest--and busiest--lake on the Prescott National Forest. Lynx Lake North Shore Day-use Area provides lake-side recreation, fishing, picnic tables and grills, a wildlife viewing scope, and interpretive signs.
Lynx Lake is periodically stocked with trout by the Arizona Game and Fish Department. A valid fishing or combination license is required for resident and non-resident anglers 10 years of age or older fishing any publicly accessible water in Arizona.

From Prescott, AZ: East on Hwy 69, pass shopping mall on right, go right (south) on Walker Rd. (by Costco). South on Walker Rd for approximately 2 miles. Turn left and follow road past Lynx Lake Marina and Store to parking lot.

Viewing Wildlife Info
A fixed wildlife viewing scope offers an opportunity to view a wide variety of wildlife. Summer residents include osprey, javelina, and many small birds. Winter residents include bald eagles, deer, and great blue herons. A keen eye and a sharp ear can help you spot many of these animals.
