Mingus Mountain

Located in the cool pines of central Arizona, Mingus Mountain offers a wide range of recreational opportunities including picnicking, hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, camping, fishing, hunting, hang gliding, and paragliding.  

A small lake located in the cool pines of Mingus Mountain, Mingus Lake is periodically stocked with rainbow trout.

A valid fishing or combination license is required for resident and non-resident anglers 10 years of age or older fishing any publicly accessible water in Arizona. For more information please visit: www.azgfd.gov

  • Dispersed camping within the recreation boundary is prohibited (see Dispersed under Camping and Cabins for more information)
  • Motorized boats are prohibited in Mingus Lake
