Equestrian Trail

The Pine Valley Recreation Area and campground is closed indefinitely for public safety due to the Forsyth fire. All reservations are refundable through 12/31/2025.

Visit Dixie National Forest Alerts webpage for latest information on the Alerts webpage.

This trail connects the Eastern most edge of the Pine Valley Recreation area with the Forsyth Trail, with many exit and entry point along the way. The trail is relatively flat and is often used to get from campgrounds to trailheads. The trail has several water crossings and offers a quiet way to explore the Pine Valley area without having to climb up the laccolith. The trail is mostly shaded by large Ponderosa Pines and White Firs within the Recreation Area, then transitions to Pinyon Pine and Junipers as you get closer to Forsyth.
