Angel Lake Campground
The campground is next to Angel Lake, and flanked by glacial cirques. Non-motorized boating (canoeing) in Angel Lake, and fishing for rainbow, brook, and tiger trout are popular activities in the area. The Smith Lake Trailhead accesses the northern part of the East Humboldts Wilderness from the campground and another trailhead from just southeast of the campground heads south to Winchell Lake.
Reservations
Reservations are required for most campsites, while a small number are available first come-first served. For more information on reservations and fees, please visit Recreation.gov.
General Information
- The campground offers single and double campsites, some of which have lake views. Each site contains a picnic table, campfire ring and grill.
- A day-use picnic area is adjacent to the campground, along the lakeshore.
June - October, as weather and conditions allow.
Open 24 hours/day
- Dogs must be on a leash at campground.
- No stock allowed in campground.
Overnight Use:
Single Site: $18/night.
Double Site: $36/night.
Interagency Senior/Access Recreation Passes provide a 50% discount to Single Campsites ONLY.
