Cathedral Rock - South Loop Trailhead

The Cathedral Rock-South Loop Trailhead is located adjacent to the Cathedral Rock Picnic Area in Kyle Canyon outside Las Vegas, Nevada. This is a popular trailhead as it provides access to the scenic Cathedral Rock Trail, the South Loop/Mt. Charleston National Recreation Trail, and the Mt. Charleston Wilderness. This is the primary starting spot for many seeking to reach the summit of Charleston Peak, the highest point in southern Nevada at 11,916 feet, on the South Loop trail.

  • Dogs must be on a leash at trailhead.
  • Not recommended for horse trailers as there is no room to park or turn around.

No Fees are required for this site.
