Cow Canyon Trailhead

Cow Canyon Trailhead is located on the west side of the Toiaybe Range in central Nevada. It provides direct access to the Arc Dome Wilderness and the Toiyabe Crest National Recreation Trail via the Cow Canyon Trail (24021). The Reese River within the Arc Dome Wilderness can also be access from this location.

Generally open May to October, as weather and conditions allow.

No permits required

Dogs must be on a leash at trailhead.  Certified weed free hay is required.

No Fees are required for this site.

Directions

From Tonopah, NV, head west on US-95N/US-6W for 4.5 miles, then right onto Pole Line Rd. Travel 31.3 miles on Pole Line Rd, then right onto Cloverdale Ranch Rd. Continue for 5.4 miles, then take slight right onto Indian Valley Rd (NF-018) for 11.4 miles. Turn right onto NV-21 for 3.4 miles. Continue onto NF-121 for 2.9 miles then right onto MCR993720 Rd for 2.6 miles. Trailhead is at the end of this road.
