Kings Canyon Trailhead

Kings Canyon Trailhead is located on Kings Canyon Road on the west side of Carson City, Nevada and provides access to the Kings Canyon Trail System. This site is extremely popular with day hikers, mountain bikers, and equestrians. Trails that can be accessed including Ash to Kings, Upper Waterfall Loop, Waterfall Trail, North Kings Loop, Lincoln Bypass, Kings Canyon Rd., and Capital to Tahoe.

This trailhead is operated in partnership with the City of Carson City Parks, Recreation, and Open Space

General Information

  • Site is newly renovated with paved parking and updated restrooms. 

May - October

  • Note that dogs are not allowed on the Waterfall Trail and the North Kings Loop per Carson City rules.
