                                        Beulah Fire Area, Road, Trail, Trailhead, and Parking Area/Lot Closures 

PROHIBITIONS

Pursuant to 16 U.S.C. § 551 and 36 C.F.R. § 261.50 (a) and (b), the following acts are prohibited on National Forest System Lands within the Beulah Fire Area, Roads, Trails, Trailheads and Parking Area/Lots in the Evanston-Mountain View Ranger District, and Road and Trailhead in the Heber-Kamas Ranger District, Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. Described below and shown on the attached map incorporated into this Order as Exhibit A. This Order will be in effect August 10, 2025, and shall remain in effect until September 30, 2025, unless rescinded.

1. Being in or upon the Area, Roads, Trails, Trailheads and Parking Area/Lots as described below and shown on the attached map. This includes all pedestrians, hikers, equestrians, bicycles, and any type of motorized vehicle. [36 CFR 261.53(e)]

EXEMPTIONS

Pursuant to 36 C.F.R. § 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this Order:

1. Persons with Forest Service Permit specifically exempting them from this Order or a written determination by a Forest Service authorized officer that a permit is not required under 
   36 C.F.R. § 251.50(e)(1) or (2).
   1. Any federal, state, or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or firefighting resource in the performance of an official duty.
   2. Federal or state administrative personnel in performance of an official duty.

DESCRIBED

Area Description within the Evanston-Mountain View Ranger District

The Beulah Fire area closure starts on the North Slope Road (Forest Service Road #80058) from UT SR- 150 (Mirror Lake Highway) east to the junction with East Fork Blacks Fork Road (Forest Service Road #80065) 18.8 miles. Then south on East Fork Blacks Fork Road (Forest Service Road #80065) 5.5 miles to the junction with East Fork Blacks Fork Trail (Forest Service Trail #4102). Continuing south on East Fork Blacks Fork Trail (Forest Service Trail #4102) 11.2 miles to the Evanston-Mountain View Ranger District Boundary. Then west along the Evanston-Mountain View Ranger District boundary to the section line between Township 1 South, Range 10 East, Sections 20 and 21. Then north along the section line to a point due west of the end of the Stillwater Trail (Forest Service Trail #4098). Then east to the end of the Stillwater Trail (Forest Service Trail #4098) and continue north along the Stillwater Trail (Forest Service Trail #4098) 8.5 miles to the junction with the Christmas Meadows Trailhead Road (Forest Service Road #80248). Then north along the Christmas Meadows Trailhead Road (Forest Service Road #80248) to the junction with the Stillwater Fork Road (Forest Service Road #80057) 0.2 miles. Continuing north along the Stillwater Fork Road (Forest Service Road #80057) to the intersection with UT-SR 150 (Mirror Highway). Then north along UT SR-150 (Mirror Lake Highway) to the junction with the North Slope Road (Forest Service Road #80058). Located in Township 1 North, Range 10 East Sections 1-4, 9-15 ,22-27, and 34-36; Township 1 North, Range 11 East, Sections 1-36; Township 1 North, Range 12 East, Sections 2-11, 15-22, 28-33; Township 1 South, Range 10 East, Sections 1-3, 10-15, 21-22, 28; Township, 1 South, Range 11 East, Sections 1-15, 18; Township 1 South, Range 12 East, Section 6; Township 2 North, Range 10 East, Sections 1, 11-17, 20-29, 32-36; Township 2 North, Range 11 East, Sections 1-36; Township 2 North, Range 12 East, Sections 2-11, 14-36; Township 3 North, Range 11 East Section 36; Township 3 North, Range 12 East, Sections 33-34 within the Salt Lake Based Meridian and Township 4 North, Range 8 West, Sections 21-22, 28-29 all within the Uintah Based Meridian and shown on attached map.

Road and Trailhead closed within the Heber-Kamas Ranger District

Highline Trailhead Road (Forest Service Road #80456) is closed 0.2 miles from junction with UT SR-150 (Mirror Lake Highway) to end of loop and Highline Trailhead Road A (Forest Service Road #80456-A) 0.1 miles from junction with Highline Trailhead Road (Forest Service Road #80456) to junction with Highline Trail (Forest Service Trail #3105) located in Township 1 South, Range 9 East, Section 24 all within the Salt Lake Based Meridian Section 24 and Township 4 North, Range 9 West, Sections 23 and 24 all within the Uintah Based and shown on attached map.

PURPOSE

To provide for public and firefighter safety during the suppression of the Beulah Fire.

IMPLEMENTATION

1. This Order will be in effect when signed August 10, 2025, and shall remain in effect until September 30, 2025, unless rescinded.
2. A map identifying the closure area is attached and made part of this Order as Exhibit A. For a digital version of this Order and Exhibit A, go to Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest - Alerts& Notices (usda.gov).
3. Unless otherwise expressly defined in this Order, the terms used in this Order are defined by the regulations of the Secretary of Agriculture, 36 C.F.R. Chapter II, Parts 200-299. If there are terms in this Order that are not expressly defined in the Order or 36 C.F.R. Chapter II, Parts 200-299, their meaning shall be determined by their plain language definitions.
4. A violation of the above prohibitions is punishable as a Class B misdemeanor by a fine of not more than $5,000 for individuals and $10,000 for organizations, or by imprisonment for not more than six months, or both. 16 U.S.C. § 551; 18 U.S.C. §§ 3559, 3571, and 3581.

6. This Order supersedes any previous Orders prohibiting the same or similar acts in/on the Area, Roads, Trails, Trailheads and Parking Area/Lots.
