BICYCLE USE IN UPPER MILL CREEK DRAINAGE SPECIAL ORDER OF FOREST SUPERVISOR WASATCH-CACHE NATIONAL FOREST
Salt Lake Ranger District
The following act is established to provide for public safety and to reduce the significantly crowded conditions which have been created due to increasing public use.
Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50 (a) and (b), the following acts are prohibited in the areas described on the attached map and described in this order within the Wasatch-Cache National Forest until further notice.
Possessing or using a bicycle on ODD-NUMBERED DAYS, in the Upper Mill Creek Drainage, including the Big Water Trail, the Little Water Trail, and the Great Western Trail, as shown on the attached map. [36 CFR 261.56]
Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this order:
- Persons with a permit specifically authorizing the otherwise prohibited act.
- Authorized Federal, state, or local officers, or members of an
organized rescue or firefighting force in the performance of official duty, when authorized by the District Ranger.
Area Described
The Upper Mill Creek Canyon drainage, including the Big Water Trail, the Little Water Trail, and the Great Western Trail as defined on the attached map.

Violation of these prohibitions is punishable by a fine of not more than $5,000 or imprisonment of not more than 6 months or both.(16USC 551; 18USC 357l(b)(6))
This order supersedes any previous order for the above described area and prohibitions.
