SPECIAL ORDER OF FOREST SUPERVIOSR
UINTA-WASATCH-CACHE NATIONAL FORESTS


FOREST WIDE

PROHIBITIONS:
Pursuant to Title 36 CFR 261.50 (a) and (b) the following acts are prohibited on the National Forest System lands as described in this Order. All lands affected are located within the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forests. This order is in effect July 22, 2022 and shall remain in effect until July 22, 2032.
1. Entering or using any designated group area without a permit or written permission.
[36 CFR 261.58 (b)]
2. Being in any campground between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. except a person who is camping or who is visiting a person camping in that area. [36 CFR 261.58 (u)]
3. Occupying a developed, single family campground unit with more than two recreation and/or transportation vehicles except where sufficient space is available to park additional vehicles completely on established parking pads or roads without obstructing roadways. [36 CFT 261.58 (i)]
4. Occupying a developed, single family campground unit by more than eight (8) persons except when an immediate family (parents and children from the same household) exceed eight. Anderson Cove Campground at Pine View Reservoir on the Ogden Ranger District is an exception where the limit will be ten (10) persons. [36 CFR 261.58 (f)].


PARKING
5. Parking or leaving a vehicle in violation of posted instructions. [36 CFR 261.58 (g)]
ROADS AND BRIDGES
6. Using any Forest Development Road for commercial hauling without a permit or written authorization. [36 CFR 261.54 (c)]
7. Operating a vehicle across any bridge in excess of posted weight limits. [36 CFR 261.54 (d)]


EXEMPTIONS:
Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50 (e) the following persons are exempt from this order:
1. Persons with special use authorization or other Forest Service authorization specifically exempting them from the effect of this order.
2. Any authorized federal, state, or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or fire fighting force in the performance of an official duty.
3. Federal or State administrative personnel in performance of an official duty.


AREA DESCRIBED:
All National Forest System located within the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forests as shown on attached map.


PURPOSE:
To protect natural resources and forest facilities from being damaged and for public health and safety.


IMPLEMENTATION:
1. This Order will be in effect when signed and shall remain in effect until further notice.
2. Violation of the above prohibition(s) is punishable by a fine of not more than $5,000
for an individual, or $10,000 for an organization and/or imprisonment for not more
than 6months. [Title 16 USC 551, Title 18 USC 3571(b)(6), Title 18 USC 3581(b)(7)].
3. Further information regarding this Order may be obtained at the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forests, Supervisors Office, 857 West South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan, Utah (801) 999-2103.
4. This Order supersedes any previous Order(s) prohibiting the same, or similar acts prohibited by this Order in the areas (and/or roads or trails) covered by this Order.
