Kamas Ranger District
The Left Hand Fork Area of Beaver Creek, located on the Kamas Ranger District, Wasatch-Cache National Forest has been closed to cattle trespass, horse tethering, and/or camping to protect watershed, riparian areas and stream banks from damage.
Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50 (a) & (b), the following acts are prohibited on the areas shown on the attached map and described in this order. All areas affected are located on the Kamas Ranger District, Wasatch-Cache National Forest. This order is in effect until further notice.
- Placing or allowing livestock to enter or be upon the areas described in this order. [36 CFR 261.53 (f)]
- Camping in the Left Hand Fork Area. [36 CFR 261.58(e)]
- Hitching, tethering or hobbling a horse or other saddle or pack animal in the Left Hand Fork Area. [36 CFR 261.58(aa)]
Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50 (e), the following acts, or persons, are exempt from this order:
- Persons with a permit or contract authorizing the otherwise prohibited act.
- Authorized Federal, state, or local officers, or members of an organized rescue or firefighting force in the performance of official duty, when authorized by the District Ranger.
Area Described: Part of the National Forest Lands in Sections 12, 13, 23 &24, Township 2 South, Range 6 East and Sections 7 & 18, Township 2 South, Range 7 East, Salt Lake Base and Meridian. (See Attached Map)

Violation of these prohibitions is punishable by a fine of not more than $5,000 or imprisonment of not more than 6 months or both. (16USC 551; 18USC 3571(b) (6))
This order supersedes any previous order for the above described area and prohibitions.
