Mill Creek Canyon Winter Trail Dog Restrictions
The following act is established to provide for public safety during winter recreation use and to reduce crowded conditions and user conflicts. The following acts are prohibited at the Mill Creek Winter Ski Trail within the Wasatch-Cache National Forest.

SPECIAL ORDER OF FOREST SUPERVISOR
WASATCH-CACHE NATIONAL FOREST

The following act is established to provide for public safety during winter recreation use and to reduce crowded conditions and user conflicts.
Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50 (a) and (b), the following acts are prohibited in the areas described on the attached map and described in this order within the Wasatch-Cache National Forest until further notice.
l. Possessing a dog on ODD-NUMBERED DAYS, on the Mill Creek Winter Ski trail when the Maple Grove gate is closed and the area is posted for winter skiing. [36 CFR 261.58 (s)]
2. Use of any type of motorized vehicle on the Mill Creek Road when the Maple Grove gate is closed. [36 CFR 261.54 (a)]
Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this order:
- Persons with a permit or contract specifically authorizing the otherwise prohibited act.
- Authorized Federal, state, or local officers, or members of an organized rescue or firefighting force in the performance of official duty, when authorized by the District Ranger.
Area Described
The Mill Creek Canyon Road No. 012 above the gate at the Maple Grove Picnic Area to the end of the road at the Upper Big Water Trailhead, as defined on the attached..m-ap.

Violation of this prohibition is punishable by fine of not more than $5,000 or imprisonment of not more than 6 months or both (16 USC 551; 18 USC 3571 (b)(6))
This order supersedes any previous orders/notices for the above described areas, and same said violation(s).
