SPECIAL ORDER OF FOREST SUPERVISOR
UINTA-WASATCH-CACHE NATIONAL FORESTS
FOREST WIDE NUDITY

PROHIBITIONS:
Pursuant to Title 36 CFR 261.50 (a) and (b) the following act is prohibited on the National Forest System lands as described in this Order. All lands affected are located within the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forests. This order is in effect July 22, 2022 through July 22, 2032.
1. Being publicly nude on all lands within the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forests as described below and shown on attached map. [36 CFR 261.58(j)]

EXEMPTIONS:
Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50 (e) the following persons are exempt from this order:
1. Persons with special use authorization or other Forest Service authorization specifically exempting them from the effect of this Order.
2. Any Federal, State, or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or fire fighting force in the performance of an official duty.
3. Federal or State administrative personnel in performance of an official duty.

AREA DESCRIBED:
All National Forest System lands located within the boundaries of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forests.

PURPOSE:
To provide for public safety on National Forest system lands.

DEFINITIONS
Publicly Nude-Being nude in any place where a person may be observed by another person. Any person is nude if the person has failed to cover the rectal area, pubic area, or genitals. A female person is also nude if she has failed to cover both breasts below a point immediately above the top of the areola. Each such covering must be fully opaque. No person under the age of 10 years shall be considered publicly nude.

IMPLEMENTATION:
1. This Order will be in effect June 22, 2022 and shall remain in effect through June 22, 2037.
2. Attached map shows the areas affected by this Order.
3. Violation of the above prohibition(s) is punishable by a fine of not more than $5,000 for an individual or $10,000 for an organization and/or imprisonment for not more than 6months imprisonment. [Title 16 USC 551, Title 18 USC 3571(b) (6), Title 18 USC 3581(b) (7)].
4. Further information regarding this Order may be obtained at the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forests, Supervisors Office, South Jordan, Utah (801) 999-2103.
5. This Order supersedes any previous Order(s) prohibiting the same, or similar acts prohibited by this Order in the areas (and/or roads or trails) covered by this Order.
