Wildland Fire Explorer Program
Wildland Fire Explorers
A program for young men and women to explore a career in wildland firefighting.
The Angeles National Forest has three Wildland Fire Explorer Posts that meet weekly and an Explorer Academy that takes places once-a-year. We are located in multiple areas to serve all communities in Los Angeles County.
You can join one of the Explorer Posts or all three of them at no additional cost! Our explorers have a high success rate of employment in the Fire Service.
